During our remote learning, we used Mindstamp for daily community messages that encouraged students to be part of the conversation. Our goal was to keep our community connected even though our school-wide morning meetings looked very different. We keep coming up with new ways to support our students through videos.

I learned at TSETC that Adam runs a 100% free website called eduTecher that reviews and catalogs over 1,100 free web tools as well as offering short videos explaining how to use them in the classroom. In the near future he will have free iPhone and Droid apps. Lisa Nielsen was absolutely fabulous.

Here is an example I use a lot where I asked people to give me their thoughts on what a PLN (Personal Learning Network) means to them. They are moving more and more into the mobile market and now you can do video calls on the iPhone. Then the other kids in the class record their thoughts around the image. Need ideas?

One of these days, we will find an iphone 6 in the thrift store, and our kids will remember that their parents used to own one of those. We need that Concrete information about what students know and don’t know, so can then go back and tweak lesson plans and learning environments to better meet student needs.
