Tab Scissors and Tab Glue are two extensions to use for quickly splitting your tabbed browser windows into groups and "gluing" browser windows back together. As a teacher who has to transfer grades from my Edmodo gradebook to my district gradebook, both extensions save me time minimizing and sizing windows.

We use Genesis as our online grade book system, and by creating a student email report, I made a spreadsheet of students in my class, copy/pasted their email addresses into the groups I created in Google contacts. I also post the link to the document on the class page in Edmodo. Think of the class folder as a one way street.

Since the conversation is very fast paced, I keep my caps-lock on for faster typing and so students can differentiate my questions and comments from the rest of the group. The NJ Department of Ed states that this year''s sophmores will be the last group to take the HSPA, but without a clear plan from the state (lots of mentions of EOC''s and PARCC''s), I am fearful of completely forgoing teaching testing skills. I already use Edmodo as my online hub, but Cel.ly The set up works well for a mix of classroom activities from partner work to group work to direct instruction, but by the end of the day, the desks have migrated out of formation because every time a student slides into his/her seat, the desk gets slightly pushed to the right.
