I’ve updated Ask a Tech Teacher’s list of ten math tools we posted in 2016 to be shorter and with a new option. I think this will better reflect what’s going on today in our classrooms: It can be difficult to teach math, but with the proper tools, it can often be made easier. 2 Khan Academy.

Sal Khan has been as busy as ever. Over the last year, he’s helped Khan Academy manage a three-fold user increase, has grown and developed an online program geared toward early learners, and launched a new peer-to-peer tutoring platform to keep students connected and learning during the pandemic.

When the Internet arrived, I — as did my colleagues — adopted it mostly for two reasons: 1) research — in place of the library, and 2) rote drills, such as supporting math practice. save teacher time because s/he can automate instruction where possible using tech tools. But that has changed.

To make things easier for busy parents and teachers, we created a shortlist of the best math tools for students. We grouped the apps in tools for preschool, school, and high school kids.
