The session on grant writing, for example, was a dud because everyone there wanted to learn how to write them and nobody knew where to start. In the early part of 2012, I attended my first edCamp in Philadelphia. From that point forward, we started an adventure to create edCamp New Jersey which topped out at over 1,000 educators one year and was visited by the local cops because of the overflow of parking at the school building. I was never home. Step 8: Be Thankful.

On one day in August before the students came, and again in January of this year we set up Edcamp style PD days. She is someone that sees the value technology can add to the classroom and looks for ways to enhance learning in many different ways. We both spend a lot of time with teachers and learn what their needs are.

Change is the end result of all true learning. – When times like this creep up, we must resort to a tactic that incentivizes their learning by offering them treats, or (in my house) bribes to get them to be good students both in school and at home. Incentivizing learning works wonders for small children.
