Teacher Generated Multiple Choice Assessments Some givens for my MC assessments in 9th grade English: All test/quizzes are open resources (notebook & text). I like Edmodo best for traditional administering of tests. As of now, Edmodo tests cannot be taken through the app. Students only get about 30-45 seconds per question.

Reflection & QR Codes Usually I''m the trailblazer at my high school: there are a number of programs that I''ve help to start-- the Varsity Swim Team, the PAWS program, letter writing campaign to Southern alumni serving in the military, crafting the 9th grade curriculum, going paperless, and now BYOD. BYOD is first on the list.

I use a mix of devices with some days in the class being BYOD and others using the school''s computers and netbooks (as available). I already use Edmodo as my online hub, but Cel.ly I also use QR Codes, Socrative and InfuseLearning for other BYOD activities, and Today''s Meet for backchanneling.

End of the Year Ideas for Next Year Flip grammar-- need to find resources and make online mastery quizzes Figure out how to record lectures or screen-casts. Points to Ponder ("frog word" as Mr. Speck would say) BYOD and flipping the average/general level class. Using Edmodo in the Spring semesters was a success.
