They can be offered while parents are waiting for students to finish after-school activities, as a brown bag lunch program, or online during evenings or weekends via Google Hangout or Skype. Kick off the program with a poll (use an online platform like Google Forms or PollDaddy, one students use in class) to find out what time works best.

Make an interactive ebook. She is a Buncee Ambassador, Edmodo Certified Trainer, Nearpod PioNear, Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Google Certified Educator Levels I and II. The idea is that we can leverage the tool to provide something that will connect with each student and it can be done from anywhere. Share a lesson.

Common Sense Media has developed some fantastic r esources , including an interactive scope and sequence , eBooks , engaging videos , and a Digital Passport game, that is geared towards students as young as pre-school, all the way up through high school. Students can create a game, and watch internet safety videos.

There are a wide variety of products out there (like Edmodo or Schoology ) to do this so spend some time finding one that suits your needs. Using something like Google Docs or Forms makes collecting and sharing those goals easy. This is a textbook ebook solution for the classroom. But it’s much more than that.

While reading the ebooks, students can take notes, highlight, jot down questions, share ideas with each other, and respond to the comments of classmates. I like that student research done through Actively Learn can be merged into Google Docs. In fact, Actively Learn integrates fully with Canvas, Google Drive, and Google Classroom.
