MOOCs were going to change everything. My favorite ludicrous claim remains that of Knewton’s CEO who told NPR in 2015 that his company was a “mind reading robot tutor in the sky.” Google Search is biased, as Safiya Noble demonstrates in her book The Algorithms of Oppression. And on and on and on.
