We are seeing more and more teachers, conferences, and companies embrace QR as another way to engage students, audiences and customers. One of the most useful examples I saw this year was at a Moodle conference where in the digital conference guide was a QR next to each session. That I believe to be true. 57,000 students.

I also attended CUE and CETPA conferences as well as had to put out the odd IT fire during class time every once in a while. Often I would be online checking in on my students even if I was out sick or at a conference. Thanks to Moodle and Google Docs for that. Got to love the small school districts.

Expect them to be reported on enthusiastically in 2015 conferences. There is a deep and vested interest in maintaining the course as the definitive container for learning. Canvas and Moodle will continue to make inroads. There will be small scale examples in traditional higher education institutions. I’m sure we will.

We use Moodle as a Learning Management System. So you can have these types of assessment items on a Moodle platform. This whole idea of randomized formative assessment is definitely one that I’ll be investigating more. Sean has been on numerous conference planning committees. So what we do is use randomization.
