But what I haven’t seen is kids Googling anything to help them with this project. Her talent won her an internship with a company in Atlanta (she telecommuted as a sophomore and junior in high school.) There’s a reason why this Invention project is a Google-free zone. I’ve even seen contact lenses that take photographs.

Project Pals connects with Google Classroom but also lets me see detail on which students are contributing and participating. She has presented many sessions on the topic, including four keynote addresses in Texas, Indiana, St. Burns has taught PreK-grade 4 general music for over 20 years at Far Hills Country Day School.

She’s helped the students find books in the library, and she has also helped them learn some ways to navigate ways to share their knowledge through Google Slides or Wixie. They are using time to research and create a presentation of what they know. They have been using the ChromeBooks in our classroom to do Google searches.

And the one thing that Flipsnack cannot do it … it cannot be worked on simultaneously like Google docs where two students can work on it at once.
