Today Donnie Piercey @mrpiercey , co-author of the Google Cardboard Book , shows how we can add simple augmented reality to our classrooms. Owl Eyes has hundreds of free ebooks — the Canterbury Tales, The Odyssey, and all of Shakespeare’s work. But Owl Eyes isn’t just an ebook reader. I always like to use Google Maps.

The book is free on Amazon through the end of Thursday, April 1, so get your copy now in ebook format. We co-wrote the book in Google Docs over several months. Then we pulled the text into Vellum , an excellent tool for producing ebooks. We’ve encouraged people to read the book — a devotional a day for April.

We adapted the Design Thinking Process to include additional phases based on our own experiences in schools with educators and kids. The educator can assist learners in the interview process including how to develop interview questions. Many of those same qualities are goals of the Common Core State Standards.

Screencastify is the screencasting tool I recommend for Google Chrome and Chromebooks. Built for Chromebooks, it saves all of your recordings directly to Google Drive. Once they have the basics of writing — say middle school or high school — is to take the class and write an eBook. Tip #4: Authoring eBooks.

Book Creator has long been a favorite app on the iPad, and now it’s available for Google Chrome. They can also send them as eBooks that people can read on their mobile devices or computers. However, you can still keep them in easy digital reach on your phones, digital ebook reader, or any electronic device. All opinions my own.
