Khan is the creator of Khan Academy. He began his keynote by sharing a video montage of Khan Academy highlights and then presenting some impressive statistics on usage. Technology plays a huge role, which is why all efforts need to be made to eliminate the digital divide. Provide a few assessment options and allow students to select which one is graded. In the case of the latter, check out this PreK – 12 curricula from Khan Academy. The key, however, is balance.
