The Census Bureau’s 2005 American Community Survey counted 2.4 million in 2005 to 7.1 Eschman first discovered the Clayton County program in 2005. million grandparents living with grandchildren for whom they were responsible. By 2014, the latest year for which data is available, that number had risen to 2.7 million in 2014.
