Fortunately for me I have already begun to work with my staff and students to transform the teaching and learning culture at New Milford HS as it pertains to cell phones as mobile learning devices. By the end of last school year many more teachers were incorporating mobile learning devices into their instruction.

After students decided as a group, they voted individually as a class about their opinion on the source with “ Poll Everywhere ,” using their cell phones. Beiner’s Culinary Arts classes created a “how to” video for recipes. Chellani began the lesson with mobile learning devices and Poll Everywhere to review prior learning.

Students are permitted to use their devices for learning during non-instructional time (i.e. Mobile learning devices (i.e. tools such as Poll Everywhere and Celly. The challenge then became how to deliver a uniform experience across all devices in order to assist with the teaching and learning process.

In addition, he makes sure to provide training to NMHS students on how to use technology responsibly. Lastly, I used Poll Everywhere in my senior seminar the next day and it was a big hit. Once you learn how to use new technology you have to implement it and that was a key lesson I taught to my seniors.
