Educreations received a slight makeover, and it now has a few new features that allows teachers to push lessons out to student accounts, while also being able to see published student work for those enrolled in her/his classes. What is Educreations? Teachers can use Educreations to send presentations to students as well.

When introducing a concept, Meagan has students meet her on the rug in a circle, sits with them, and uses Nearpod to present material on all of their iPads at once. When students submit responses, they are assessed, and she has data at her fingertips.

Number one skill for being successful in learning: the ability to self-assess. When focusing on 1:1, iPads, etc: Focus on teaching teachers to give better feedback and students to self-assess instead of the technology. Teachers will write their own questions and goals that they want to meet each fall and spring.
