Rally to Restore Philadelphia School Librarians: Responses, reflections, and resources

Our students are granted the opportunity to flourish with access to knowledge, resources, the world of literature and the creation of school community. Approximately 50 schools have libraries with catalog systems, and all schools have a subscription to PA Power Library, which makes libraries virtually accessible to all schools.

I remember the advocacy required. I drew cartoon like pictures but agreed to attempt the picture. And when I did, I remember her face.

We provide access. Without this access, students ignore thousands of dollars of content their parents’ tax dollars support. Without physical and intellectual access to these resources, students will not be prepared for the similar high quality academic content they will encounter at the university. April 29, 2016.

While I worried the audience might be shy, the very wiki audience shared like crazy. Too many scheduling conflicts.Breakfasts, Advocacy, & committee meetings during the same time as presentations and sessions.
