For those who don''t know, Edcamp is a great series of free, unconferences for educators. The Edcamp model is unique in that attendees set the agenda the morning of the conference and the sessions are not led by one person, but are rather a collaboration of both the facilitator and attendees. I highly recommend Edcamps!

I am happy once again to be offering the "Technology Links to Language Intervention" this summer. This summer, this online component will likely be hosted on Edmodo, itself a great communication tool. Now a veteran of 7 Edcamps, I will say again that I learn more at these events than I do from traditional PD!

I found twitter, Edcamp and connected to teachers. I wanted students to have more “hands-on” contact…not “drag and drop” technology but to create beyond presentations. Curating and sharing implies that you want to support the learning of others. The ipad released and my school bought some.

Start using an LMS (Learning Management System) such as Google Classroom , Schoology , Canvas , Edmodo , Moodle. Using a web-based central location to communicate, collaborate, assign, assess, and create allows for great opportunities for teachers and students to efficiently learn especially in a real-wold context. don't stop.
