Educreations. One of the standouts in this screencasting field is Educreations. Educreations can be linked to file locations like Dropbox and Google Drive as well as LMS communities like Edmodo. Audio and video (in addition to the native voice-over and rendered Educreations movie) can’t be embedded into the presentation.

We talked about using a tool like Socrative or InfuseLearning to get a quick feel for where students are in their learning, and then apps like Explain Everything , Educreations , or ShowMe which teachers can use to create video tutorials based on learning needs. These were ideas we came up with in a fairly brief brainstorming session.

Educreations - A terrific iPad app that is very similar to Ask3 as it turns the iPad into a recordable whiteboard. Khan Academy - Flipped Learning and Khan Academy go hand-in-hand where learning takes place outside the classroom. Also, they have an excellent free mobile app for kids, Khan Academy Kids.

Khan Academy, ck12.org, For years teachers have used whiteboards for quick formative assessment to see if daily learning objectives have been met.

Good apps for creating tutorials: Explain Everything, Screen Chomp, Educreations District #2 : Revisiting their BYOD initiative. Are teachers using Wolfram Alpha, Khan Academy, Think Through Math, etc when principal observes. They brought in a panel of students to ask about their experience with BYOD.
