But then also giving them a couple chances at maybe making a few of those beginner mistakes and getting a little goofy, and then, “Get it out of your system, because this is for a grade.”. Now, do you use robots? What about robotics? In my class, we use the Sphero robot quite a bit. So that’s my Go To robot.

He has spent the last two months interviewing experts throughout the maker movement with the goal of creating a self-paced course for anyone who wants to design a makerspace. We live in an era where robotics and artificial intelligence will replace many of our current jobs. They will need to have a maker mindset.

Coincidentally, as part of another role I had with the district to develop relationships with the business community, I was organizing a field trip to a tech company. These companies were eager for qualified young candidates to fill positions. By the the second hour of the trip, he had connected with a programmer at the company.
