One of the most useful examples I saw this year was at a Moodle conference where in the digital conference guide was a QR next to each session. This idea of access to education is only going to grow, I believe, into something pretty amazing. Its the access to information and the ability to create new learning that''s important.

On March 9, 2012, I presented a 60 minute workshop at the 2012 MACUL conference. Linking Google Apps with Moodle MoodleRooms has a pretty slick Google Apps/Moodle integration. When a student is submitting a file through a Moodle "drop box" they also have the option of selecting a file from their Google Docs Account.

The Flipped Classroom was a very popular movement in 2012. Ability to access Ask3 from a computer (web app/extension?) Moodle, BrainHoney, BlackBoard, Haiku, etc) Thanks for subscribing to my blog. Class : simply shows who is currently a member of the class and provides the unique class code.

And of course, Instructure (Canvas), Moodle Pty Ltd (Moodle), Longsight (Sakai), and other companies provide for-fee, value-added services around Learning Management Systems hosting and support. Students in some courses also had access to lecture video. In all cases, students have immediate access to correct responses.

Notes from SXSWedu 2012 panel discussion/concurrent session. They have one hour of PD each day and teachers access through Epsilen/Project Share. Modules can also be accessed outside of school. A Region 4 district has teachers accessing PD at all hours of the day and night when it is most convenient for them.
