Chrome Can: Creating eBooks with Chromebooks!

This media includes images, audio, video, blog posts, and eBooks. Chromebooks can do all of these things including creating eBooks. eBooks come in a variety of formats including PDF, ODF, AWZ, LIT, MOBI, EPUB etc. Students can then use Google Docs to create their eBooks and then save the file as a PDF. Students can also use apps like Gravit Designer to create stunning eBook covers. There are several ways Chromebooks can be used to create EPUB eBooks.

Make Reading Relevant with Thematic Units

The biggest limitation for younger students is finding materials written at an accessible reading level, but this can be overcome by focusing more on videos and finding books with a "read to me" feature. Some of the books offer a "read to me" feature, so I can assign books to students at a more difficult level than they might be able to access independently. Both offer thousands of free ebooks and make searching by title, author, and topic easy.
