High schools fail to provide legally required education to students with disabilities

Hatharasinghe-Gerschler had been diagnosed with a reading comprehension disability in elementary school. Instead, her high school placed her in remedial courses for math and English, where she just fell further behind. She said she never got the help she needed or was taught strategies to work on comprehension.
