In our English literacy content space, for example, the collaborative learning spaces need more of a “library feel,” complete with sofa-type furniture and soft seating. The vision was for students to come in and have Socratic seminars and maybe discuss a passage.

The past few months have shown us the true extent of the flexibility and resilience of our model as we plan for students to return after summer break, both virtually and eventually in small groups on campus, as well as design wraparound supports across a variety of formats. Limited exposure by assigning 1-2 teachers for each learning group.

They had already begun a process of designing a new middle school, called Nexus Middle School, to be a STEM-based school that incorporated personalized learning. Collaborative Learning It wouldn’t be an educational exercise without homework. So that’s a success. The second point is around customized coaching.
