When we built a new 3-story high school building on our former baseball field, we knew that we wanted to incorporate spaces where students could learn and teachers could teach in a very collaborative manner. Those are our collaborative spaces, and they’re where we got to be creative in terms of planning and design.

I have traveled the country delivering PD relating to technology integration, PBL, STEM, Digital Literacy, and the 4 C’s. I have some powerful online interactive workshops and webinars that can be used to engage learning in this new environment. Perhaps a digital learning journal could be employed to promote reflection.

They had already begun a process of designing a new middle school, called Nexus Middle School, to be a STEM-based school that incorporated personalized learning. Collaborative Learning It wouldn’t be an educational exercise without homework. The second point is around customized coaching.
