A new “MicroMasters” online learning program offered by major universities

Galileo University, Guatemala (e-Learning, offered in Spanish; Professional Android Developer). In recent years these types of courses, known as MOOCs or Massive Online Open Courses, have developed a reputation as being big on hype and low on substantive change. The completion rates for these free, open courses remain very low.

Kevin Hogan One of the biggest promises—or some would say threats—of flipped classroom/blended learning school strategies in winters past was the death of the snow day. Goodbye snowmen and hot chocolate and hello MOOCs and remote check-ins! The only mention we could find was schools deciding not to partake in e-learning days.
