At the time, David Wiley expressed his concern that the lawsuit could jeopardize the larger OER movement, if nothing else, by associating open educational materials with piracy. I have learned so much in the intervening years, and my analysis then strikes me as incredibly naive and shallow. Would there even be “learning analytics” without the LMS, I wonder?). Buy them a beer when you see them at an event and thank them for covering the LMS industry so I don’t have to.
