Empowerment and ownership need and should be associated with learning to increase relevancy, value, meaning, and outcomes. The desire to increase agency in the form of voice, choice, and advocacy should be viewed as just as important for educators (teachers and administrators) as it is for students.

Using CoSN’s blueprint for smart IT decisions as a guideline, the three superintendents explained how to align priorities, and balance choice with cost and outcomes to creative sustainable programs. The district was one of three schools recognized nationally by ISTE for its digital badge program.
