Moodle – the popular LMS/VLE takes some backend skills to install and host, but can also be accessed from hosting services like MoodleCloud. I also think it would be possible to find someone in the Moodle community who would help. Sakai – this academic LMS also appears in at least one group’s paid hosting options.
