Writing is no longer treated as a stand-alone skill, rather a tool students use to provide evidence of their knowledge. Whether the student’s skill level is novice or master, it doesn’t matter because soon — by fifth grade probably — handwriting is replaced by digital writing. This includes: keyboarding.
