On a crisp day in early March, two elementary school gifted and talented classes worked on activities in two schools, three miles and a world apart. And even before June’s historic civil rights protests, the issue of racism permeated the National Association for Gifted Children’s (largely white) November 2019 conference in Albuquerque.
