There is little room for experimenting with tools beyond the VLE. They don’t have any at the moment unless they BYOD (bring your own device). Innovations and going beyond the VLE. In summary, what staff in universities need is choice. Simplification. To be fair this isn’t entirely the fault of IT Services.
