Fortunately for me I have already begun to work with my staff and students to transform the teaching and learning culture at New Milford HS as it pertains to cell phones as mobile learning devices. By the end of last school year many more teachers were incorporating mobile learning devices into their instruction.

I was also adamant that social media had no place in an educational setting, but most of you who read this blog know about my radical change of mind in regards to this. To put it bluntly, no educational organizations in NJ would have even thought of approaching me to talk about the innovative use of technology at my school.

A few weeks ago, I made a commitment to visit schools that are using social media, smartphones, texting, and other digital technologies, as a vital part of daily classroom instruction. Principal Sheninger obviously sees that social media and students bringing in their own technology are great educational tools.
