NEW YORK – SmartPass, a digital solution for hallway management, expands its SmartPass Hall Pass product by adding three new products SmartPass Flex, SmartPass Attendance, and SmartPass ID Cards (which is completely free for schools) to support educators with student management tasks throughout the school day.

- SmartPass Flex: Built directly into SmartPass, schools can create new schedules for Flex periods that work alongside existing passes and calendars. Teachers can set up a Flex period based on a block of time, whether it’s every day, once per week, etc. and students can sign up for educator offerings such as enrichment activities, academic support, club meetings, outdoor activities, making up a test, etc. during the flex period.
- SmartPass Attendance: Schools can easily capture attendance data by setting up a computer or Chromebook by the door to the classroom so students can sign in and be counted directly in SmartPass. It will show teachers and administrators which students are present, absent, or late to class. If a student arrives late to class, they will be marked as late — and a default timestamp is recorded of how much time they missed of that class.
- Free SmartPass ID Cards: Schools can use this secure, free solution for students to use to scan for attendance, cafeteria purchases, library books, etc. It takes schools less than five minutes to create, customize, and distribute digital SmartPass ID cards through SmartPass’ secure communication with the school’s student information system.
