If teachers learned one thing from these experiences it is that, if you wait and ride it out long enough, all of these initiatives will all go away. Today’s learners have become more directed and into the ownership of their learning. The classroom is no longer the only location where learning takes place. They can use any number of applications to create something from what they have learned and to make things better they can collaborate with anyone globally at anytime.

The only training or workshops I attended were those I got a grant for, applying on my own. Currently we include in-person or online PD as an optional add-on to our subscription offering, but to be honest, no one buys it. It looked at whether schools are embracing anytime, anywhere learning for teachers in the same way they are for students. One administrator called Twitter “fantastic” for PD, if you are following the right people.

I attended AVID trainings, English Language Learner workshops, UDL conferences, ….you And then I saw the invite for the HyperDocs Bootcamp, a four week online course , run by the authors of the book. Vegas PBS and Nevada Learning Academy Launch Online Career Pathway Courses in Information Technology, Business Management, and Health Science for Students Statewide
