After students decided as a group, they voted individually as a class about their opinion on the source with “ Poll Everywhere ,” using their cell phones. Her Early Childhood Development classes read a book to the pre-school children on an iPad and worked with a website to review the book.

I purchased iPads for each of my administrators to collect the walkthrough data and then we demoed multiple programs to see which was the best fit for us. What is great about their tool is that it is research-based, customizable to our needs, and has a free app for the iPad. My fingers are now crossed!

Chowdhury’s plan in Physics was for students to use their iPads/tablets and create screen casts of them solving a dynamics problem with details of every step. He used an app on his iPad called Educreations to create the lesson. He also had students use Poll Everywhere to check for understanding in the beginning of the lesson.

Puzzle Kidz is a nice iPad app for creating jigsaw puzzles for kids. The app allows you to take pictures with your iPad and turn them into puzzles. This conference was packed with experts sharing their knowledge with cool and exciting ways to integrate technology in the classroom. I co-presented two workshops this year.
