Buncee 3.0: New Media Options

At Buncee, we know that when you give students the tools to create their own way, it not only helps them better retain what they’re learning, but it also builds confidence. We want to empower our students, so with Buncee 3.0, we’re giving them as many choices as possible to creatively demonstrate their learning in ways that fit them best. With access to video, audio, graphics, text, drawing, and photos, all within a safe and easy to use platform, students have options to creatively express themselves and their learning without limitations. When you see a child use Buncee, it’s true – their face lights up! Not only are they engaged, they’re inspired, they’re confident, and they’re learning. In this latest update, we wanted to take that student experience to the next level, so we added new options to our Media Palette to help us do just that!

New Media Options is just one of the new features and tools we’ve added to our Buncee 3.0 release, so be sure to check out our other posts in our Buncee 3.0 series to learn about the other major features in this update: Canvas Sizing and New and Enhanced Creation Tools! Emojis
The ability to understand and manage emotions, feel and show empathy for others, and set and achieve positive goals – these are all key to children’s social skills. We are very excited to launch a brand new media type to aid in the development of these vital skills:  Emojis! In this release, we’ve given our new reaction and emoji stickers their own category that users can select and add right from their Media Palette. With so many variations to choose from, we believe our new emojis will not only be fun and easy to use, but will aid immensely in teaching Social-Emotional Learning. So, go ahead and give it a try. Add emojis to bring an SEL touch to your students’ next digital story. Visit this article to learn how.

Take Photo
At Buncee, we’re all about empowering students to share their voice and express who they are – and, of course, all with ease. Along with our other media options, recording your own video or audio right in Buncee has enabled our students to achieve just that. But, there’s more that we can do; so, to add to that vision, we’ve added the ability to take photos directly in your Buncee as well! You can still upload your own photos as usual; but you now have the option to skip a step, and take a picture with your webcam right from your media palette! Not only will this help your classrooms add a personal touch to their creations, but this feature will be perfect for easily creating #Booksnaps, engaging introductory About Me’s, as well as for science research projects! Learn how to use this feature here.

Shape Tools
With this update, we’re giving users the ability to add shapes directly onto their canvas without having to search through our media library! In this release, we’ve added shapes such as squares, circles, cylinders, cosine and sine waves, graph axes, water drops and more. Everyone from beginners to experienced creators will enjoy having these shapes on hand when creating anything from pictures to presentations. Not only will these shapes help you add a creative edge to your Buncee designs, but they’re also ideal for helping students visualize geometry, pictographs, and fractions in lessons and student notes! Whether you’re looking to create a unique design or visual support to your STEM instruction, our new shape tools are going to be a boon for the classroom. Learn how to use this feature here.
