We’ve found out a lot about how people learn in higher education and the technology has allowed us to try things that just weren’t possible before. Other highlights of the last twenty years are the growth of open education, open courses, connected, social and rhizomatic learning. As an aside, I think we have massively overcomplicated online learning.
