Educreations received a slight makeover, and it now has a few new features that allows teachers to push lessons out to student accounts, while also being able to see published student work for those enrolled in her/his classes. What is Educreations? Teachers can use Educreations to send presentations to students as well.

I''ve always been a huge fan of Educreations, a free whiteboard and recording app and website. They have just introduced some new and improved features of their product, that will make using EduCreations even more productive. Encourage students to meet in study groups via virtual rooms like Google Hangouts. Really, though: Why not?

Here are a few of the ideas I talked about during my presentation: Mobile Show and Tell - Divide students into small groups (3 to 5 students). Recreate a Photo - Students choose one of the Mobile Show and Tell images to recreate as a group. Selfie Adventures - Pair students or divide them into small groups. Give them 30 seconds.

To be honest, these groups are not in my traditional wheelhouse, but I saw it as a learning opportunity to branch out and expand my level of knowledge. Recently the district asked me to be a part of their professional development day, which consisted of seven different learning strands specific to the needs and interests of their teachers.
