Additionally, social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram allow students to connect with other students and educators worldwide.

The rest of the files I need to use that are not in Evernote or Google Drive are setup in my Dropbox so that they are synced on my home and school computers and my smartphone. Google - I know this is kind of vague because Google has so many services, but I use a lot of them. Google Chrome is my browser of choice.

Use and understand social media platforms: Instead of giving in to fear and trying to find ways to limit access and use of social media platforms by educators, 21st century administrators need to be engaged heavily in the use of these platforms to both promote their educational organizations and to communicate with stakeholders.

Consider using open source software rather than purchasing more proprietary software. School systems can save a great deal of money by getting rid of the thinking that every time a software comes out with a new version, it needs to be purchased. There are places to consider when stretching your Tech budget.

Someday, I’d like all of my students to grow up to be the kinds of people I would want to friend on Facebook, or Instagram, or Snapchat, or whatever the social media du jour is at the time. Even if they don't seek me out, I'd like to think I'd be proud to include them in my social media circle.
