Need Advice for Starting a K-12 iPod/MP3/Podcasting Initiative

EdTechSandyK

Thank you for visiting this post! I appreciate your willingness to share ideas on starting an iPod/Podcasting/MP3 Initiative for a K-12 school district. I''ve been asked to look into helping some of the leadership in my school district learn about MP3 players and subscribing to podcasts. Since our K-12 school district has not dipped its toes into administrative or instructional use of MP3 players yet, this initiative, should it go forward, will be setting some precedents.

I was sitting in a meeting recently about the new evaluation standards for teachers and the question was asked to the group about how they are leaders in the classroom. Keep in mind there are some awesome teachers in this group that do amazing things with kids and in the school. If anyone observed them would say they were models of teacher leadership. When asked how they modeled leadership in their classroom and/or school no one responded. No one spoke up about themselves.
