- Here’s what you do:
- find the recycle bin (in PCs, it’s on your desktop; in Google Drive, it’s called ‘Trash’)
- open (in PCs, right click; in Google Drive: simply click to open)
- find your file; select ‘restore’
‘Restoring’ sends it back where it was before you deleted it.
If you deleted it from a flash drive, it’s gone. There are programs for undeleting from external drives, but they cost money and are more complicated than this ebook allows.

Isn’t this our worst fear? By the way, what is your confidence level with the cloud? My work supposedly gets saved each time, and so far it’s always been there. How do you back up your files? On a flash drive? Do you do this each time you write?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but this is clearly something I’m still trying to wrap my head around.
I don’t save much to the cloud. I save to a flash drive (1 TB flash) that I can grab-and-go. I back up to the local drive. I only save what I want to share to the cloud. I’m not trusting of internet security! I also don’t use TikTok, I use Signal for security, and DDG for browsing. Sigh.
