Dr. Steve Albrecht's Library 2.0 Podcast: "The Salman Rushdie Attack: Creating a Library Major Event Security Plan"

We've just posted a new Dr. Albrecht podcast in our "Library Service, Safety, & Security" section of Library 2.0"The Salman Rushdie Attack: Creating a Library Major Event Security Plan."

So it is a failure in security... The other issue is that there was not a screening process, as far as I know, at the door for weapons... I'm not being ridiculous about it. If you're having somebody who is an international figure who has had a death warrant on his head for 30 years, then I would say at a minimum that a metal detector is necessary at that that facility..."
