Flipped Learning Meets Differentiated Instruction

Gaggle Speaks

The result is a magical combination of differentiated instruction and flipped learning. Differentiated Instruction. Exploring 4 types of Flipped Learning

Neo LMS

Flipped Learning has emerged as the “easy button” to move classes, schools, and districts from passive to active learning. Flipped Learning is not just another teaching strategy, but rather, the meta-strategy that supports all others. Flipped Learning is often thought of as static and fraught with misconceptions. Many people believe that Flipped Learning is just that thing with the videos. Though many flipped educators use video, it is not inherently about the videos.

Two reasons why teachers don’t automate their work

The Christensen Institute

If you’re a teacher, just consider how nice it would be to have more time for collaborating with colleagues, differentiating your instruction, planning engaging projects, building relationships with students, or bringing field and industry experts into your classroom. For example, platforms delivering instructional videos might not give teachers practical ways to check students’ engagement and understanding.

Do we gain by debating the merits of blended learning?

The Christensen Institute

Like any effort to deliver instruction, we’ve witnessed both good and bad implementations of blended learning. And although that answer may be technically accurate to researchers, let’s be honest: “sometimes” is rarely useful to real leaders making real decisions about how to tailor instruction to their real students’ needs. These models, by definition, layer online modalities on top of the traditional classroom.

Top 15 Sites and Apps for Flipped Learning

Technology Tidbits

A "Flipped Classroom" is a classroom that uses class time to do activities/lessons (guided by the teacher) and "homework" time (at home) for guided instruction (usually through video). Basically, it turns a classroom upside down (or on it's head) where the learning of a topic is done at home and then they applied practice or "work" is done at school.
