I have been using Buncee with students for 7 months. I have used it primarily in elementary science, with students in grades 3-5. Two of the major improvements I have observed was with authentic student engagement and work completion. I have found that students WANT to do the work I assign them on Buncee.

Digital storytelling is only for classroom engagement. Student engagement during classroom activities is definitely improved when digital storytelling is used. As this study involving 15,000 students shows , there are many direct and indirect benefits of digital storytelling. Digital storytelling is not for STEM.
