Access State-Reviewed Instructional Materials with SETDA’s Dashboard

Now education decision makers across America can see detailed reviews compiled in multiple states, to facilitate the evaluation and purchase of print and digital materials for students and teachers. A pilot program of the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) has made 12 states’ reviews of secondary math and language arts materials available, with a wide range of K-12 resources from these and other states to follow.

Sometimes, they consult curation sites that have evaluated these materials; sometimes they just consult other teachers on what they use. The need for reliable evaluation has become more urgent with the flood of new, often free, online materials.

The fourth annual K-12 IT Leadership Survey Report , released during CoSN’s annual conference in Washington, D.C., Districts are turning to digital learning materials. Nearly 90 percent of respondents expect their instructional materials to be at least 50 percent digital within the next three years.
