The Edcamp model is unique in that attendees set the agenda the morning of the conference and the sessions are not led by one person, but are rather a collaboration of both the facilitator and attendees. Yet, the point I rarely see brought up (unless I do) is what happens once the teacher meets the school building. Larger conferences, for example, intend on breadth over depth.

Oftentimes the conferences are sponsored by state education departments and even in the opening sessions I can feel completely confused at the acronyms and current mandates being discussed.
