At first glance, the brochure for the Muse headset might look more like a religious leaflet than a technology instruction guide. The company says it can help users meditate by offering real-time feedback on their brain state. Advertising for the device is tailored to adults, but researchers outside of the company want to know if the devices can help calm students down as well—and keep them out of the principal’s office. But the company would not share it.
