edWeb 2024 Professional Learning Survey

edWeb Professional Learning Survey 2024

edWeb has been conducting an annual professional learning survey with our members since 2016. It’s an important way we benchmark our members’ needs and assessment of our edWeb services and the state of professional learning in general. The results have been very consistent over those years, even with the COVID-19 pandemic. If anything, the need and value of virtual professional learning have become even more important for teacher and staff choice and autonomy, and the flexibility of anytime, anywhere learning for work/life balance and staff retention.

edWeb began hosting webinars for professional learning in 2010, and we have a current archive of 3,000 videos and podcasts, and present 400 new live programs a year. Whether it’s AI, the Science of Reading, Teacher Retention, Cybersecurity, and more, we never run out of topics. The survey confirms, year after year, the importance of content that is current and relevant. We thank the education leaders who share their knowledge and insights on our webinars, and our sponsors and partners who help us crowdsource the most amazing educators and provide support so the learning is free.

Of most importance, the survey shows that educators’ learning on edWeb has a big impact on student learning. Educators share their learning with colleagues, increasing the impact. With over 1 million educators in 185 countries, that is a powerful way to spread the best ideas and practices in education.

Our 2024 Professional Learning Survey reports on the past 5 years of data. The comments we receive every year help us continually improve our services. The survey was conducted in February and was sent via email to 151,546 edWeb members. We received over 1,200 replies, a comparable response with past years.
