Neosho’s new junior high school splits seventh- and eighth-graders into six distinct neighborhoods , each featuring five classrooms that flow into each other and open into a central collaborative learning space. The district recently remodeled two elementary schools with newly designed classroom spaces and flexible furniture.

In many cases elementary schools have even taken fun out of school for kids by cutting recess. Her vision and subsequent plan resulted in a collaborative learning space open to all students where they could come to tinker, invent, create, and make to learn.
