In order to review material discussed in an assigned video and in class in her Pre-Calculus and Calculus courses, she created QR codes with relevant questions on the material and its’ applications. Chellani has been a pioneer in flipping her classes at New Milford High School where her tools of choice have been Adobe Captivate and Edmodo.

We don''t have technical support for Edmodo, but we now have minimal support for the LMS as more people are encouraged to use it but the number of support positions have stayed the same (3 dedicated positions for a university of 10,000 students). So what do I like about Edmodo? My students LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the mobile app.

I was extremely eager to see their respective learning portfolios and discover what they had been working on over the course of the year. Below is a sample from some of the portfolios: Math teacher Kanchan Chellani has been using her PGP time to create engaging learning activities with Adobe Captivate to flip her classroom.

What if we adopted the model of the flipped classroom and applied it to meetings and Professional Development? Flipping PD and faculty meetings is essentially the same as flipping the classroom, but with adults. I am not a big fan of flipping the classroom. I will admit it.

As a way to BUILD the classroom climate, students will be given as their syllabus/class expectations a blank white piece of paper. This won''t take me long to do once I get the students on Edmodo. I''m excited for this year with really going paperless, integrating BYOD, and delving more into the flipped classroom model.
