When in the classroom Sams and Bergsma spent their time interacting with the students individually on "homework" assignments. They flipped the classroom to make it more flexible and dynamic, matching it with the needs of the students. Others were simply Google Docs presentations shared on my classroom wiki.

Anne Torige suggested the flipped classroom, for instance, because she was interested in learning more about it. I had invited Mitch Krulewich, a new teacher at our school, to talk about how he flips his math classroom. It was fun!

I created a podcast series when I was an Administrator for Technology and had teachers who were doing cool things in the classroom share their passions. I used to use Audacity to record my podcasts, but this time I went with Techsmith’s Camtasia and just exported the file as an audio file. The series of 14 podcasts ran from 2005-2008.

Google Hangouts One of my go-to Google guys, Troy Cockrum , told me to not be afraid to Hangout by myself, and he was right. Using the Google effects as an ice-breaker while we filmed and simultaneously projected the video on the front screen (as well as live posting to YouTube), Gabbie was able to face her fear of "public" speaking.

I shot this film using the Do Ink app, but I combined and annotated it in Camtasia. I used the front camera, even though the back camera is a better lens.
